The Calibration Gas Generator is an essential tool for the gas analyzers calibration and testing, such as Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Exhaust Gas Analyzers or the Humidity Sensors. Generating exact mixtures of gas vapors such as HCl, NH3, HF, Hg and hydrocarbons, allows the control of temperature and humidity. Due to HovaCAL’s patented technology, the gas mixtures are generated from the evaporation of nearly all types of liquids, such as water, acids, alkaline solutions and organic solvents, being possible to continuously evaporate and mix with the carrier gas without pulsations /vibrations. This equipment can be operated remotely from its own software.
The Calibration Gas Generator consists of a junction of a Feed Unit and an Evaporator. The Feed Unit controls and regulates the flow of the liquid, gas and temperature. For the gas flow, mass flow controllers and meters are used. The liquid flow is controlled by the gravimetric measurement of the electronic scales. The Evaporator can be mounted and installed separately from the feed unit. The composition of the gaseous mixture (from the evaporator) is exactly defined, which can be checked by conventional methods. To obtain the steam concentration defined, the gas flow is controlled by mass flow controllers and the liquid flow by an electronic scale (weighing-machine).
