BHB provides a range of visibility analyzers and sensors which precisely and reliably transmit the data of the tunnel atmosphere to the ventilation control system.
2004/54/CE “tunnel” guidelines as well as national specifications for installation in tunnels are included in the design of these sensors.
As redundancy and stability are essential in tunnel control we strongly recommend a solution with separated sensors. This feature allows the ventilation control system to effectively perform the mandatory plausibility checks of the sensor signals.
MEASURING PRINCIPLE:
- Visible light optical transmission measurement in which the signal passes through the measuring circuit twice.
KEY FEATURES:
- Precision – continuous and automatic measurement, parallel to the tunnel axis, along 10 meters, with no need of establishing a point and with correction in case of pollution of the optical surfaces;
- Robust design – The visibility sensors are very robust (supporting the effects to the corrosive atmosphere as well as the cleaning procedures of the tunnel) from a solution of an hermetic enclosure ( which allows no gas diffusion to the optics or electronics) and a dust proof pipe (which avoids contamination of the optical system);
- Minimum maintenance requirements – the use of a “heated window” system reduces the number of maintenance interventions as well as increases the maintenance intervals;
- Flexibility – the separated sensors make their installation easy as well as their quick replacement with no need of replacing the whole set.
COMMON APPLICATIONS:
- Visibility measurement in tunnels and factories;
- Industries particulate measurement.
