Ultrasonic Air Flow Monitor 

BHB provides a range of ultrasonic air flow monitors which precisely and reliably monitor the air flow in the tunnels. Two identical sensors alternately emit or receive ultrasonic pulses. The propagation delay is precisely determined and transformed into the measuring values: air velocity, air flow rate and air temperature.

Two hardware identical sensors are combined, one parametrized as master and the other as slave. The slave is fully operated and controlled by the master.

The system can be checked and set by access to the master only, either through local USB port or remotely using RS 485 MODBUS RTU.

The maintenance of the sensors is very easy as each sensor allows inspection by help of a LED which is visible from the outside avoiding the need for traffic blocking.

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

• Determination of direction dependent differential transition time of ultrasonic pulses.

• Easy configuration with sensors that can be changed very quickly requiring no tools or re-alignment;
• Signal transmission by analogue transmission/relay or by RS 485/MODBUS RTU;
