BTEX Analyzer

BHB provides a wide range of gas analyzers exclusively dedicated to Air Quality Monitoring adapting its offers according to the gases you intend to analyze.

The Benzene Toluene Ethyl-Xylene Xylene (BTEX) analyzer uses gas chromatography to continuously measure the BTEX concentrations.

Benzene is a carcinogen for which a safe concentration is not known. However, as it is hazardous to human health the European Union requires its continuous monitoring, having been set in 2010 an annual average of up to 5µg/m3. The Benzene concentration can vary from a value below 0,1µg/m3 to a value of 100µg/m3.

By default this analyzer also reads the toluene, the ethyl-xylene and the xylene, which as the benzene is an ozone precursor.

BHB usually integrates the BTEX analyzer in its mobile or fixed monitoring stations offering a complete solution for Air Quality monitoring and analysis.

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

  • Gas Chromatography, from a flame ionisation detector (FID) or a Photo ioniser detector, or the combination of both.

MEASURING RANGE:

  • The BTEX analyzer is able to measure hydrocarbons in  ppm to ppb ranges,  at its boiling point (between 50ºC and 250ºC).
