Differential Pressure Flowmeter - V Cone

 

 

BHB provides a wide range of flowmeters using different measuring principles according to the flow characteristics of the sample components and the applications for which they are intended.

The V Cone Type Differential Pressure Flowmeter is used to measure and monitor the steam and gases flow being also applicable for “clean” liquids”.

Available with diameters from 25 to 500mm (DN25 to DN500), it is used in a variety of industrial applications, particularly in Cement plants, Steel mills, Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petrochemical industries.

Characterized by a wide turndown ratio (10:1), it is possible to install it in reduced spaces (with minimal input and output requirements) and requires reduced maintenance (due to the form of the cone behind the flow element a partial vacuum is generated, which avoids abrasion on the flow element).

 

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

  • Flow measurement using the Bernoulli principle by which it is possible to determine the speed of the fluid or gas passing through the detection of the difference between the pressure measured upstream and downstream of a primary element..

 

COMMON APPLICATIONS:

  • Saturated steam measurement;
  • Superheated steam measurement;
  • Conductive and non-conductive “clean” liquids measurement;
  • Gas measurement.
