SITE SURVEY

The Site Survey methodology is a high added value service which increases the success of the project. With more than fifteen years of experience, this methodology has evolved up to today, being annually revised and improved based on the company’s experience in developing turn-key solutions and the constant follow-up of our Clients.

By definition, the methodology applied by BHB consists on a detailed site technical inspection where the installation will take place in a new infrastructure, in the evaluation of the results obtained with the improvement of the existing infrastructures or even the identification of the improvements or the resolution of the problems of a system that is already in operation.

These procedures are performed during the evaluation of the project, to survey the necessary infrastructure, for the implementation of a new infrastructure or for the equipment installation in order to maximize the functionality of the proposed, as well as reducing the investment, implementation and maintenance costs.

Methodology Applied

The Site Survey is an indispensable tool for the anticipation, detection and resolution of operational issues after the implementation of a new infrastructure or expansion of an existing facility.

During the inspection all the local technical conditions are taken into account, such as:

			Site morphological and physical characteristics according to the requirements of the installation/products and the Client;
			Characteristics of the existing equipment/ systems in order to evaluate its integration in the solution to be developed;
			Identification of the improvement in the existing equipment as well as in the solution to be developed.

Objectives

The main objective of a Site Survey is to assure that the systems/ equipment to be supplied are adequate for the existing installation, maximizing the functionalities required and optimizing the performance according to the proposed investment in the project.

The procedures involved in the methodology aim to scale properly the equipment installation site and the utilities necessary for the proper functioning of the installation (energy, water, compressed air...).

Site Survey is a highly recommended procedure so that the project is properly elaborated and an implementation precursor of a well succeeded infrastructure implementation.

The documentation produced while performing the Site Survey makes it possible to elaborate a more precise planning during the development of the infrastructure project.

This service will also allow a greater precision in the elaboration of the project’s final documentation, including all the documents that register all that was effectively done, based on the technical information initially raised, as well as a list that includes all the equipment installed, their location and configuration and all the necessary information which allows any professional of the area to have a full vision of the installation analyzed.
